On February 15, 2024, the 2024 Lucid Air Touring received a big price cut of USD 8,000 in the U.S., which brings it extremely close to the base 2024 Tesla Model S. After seeing the car finished in the Infinite Black Metallic color and equipped with the Stealth package recently, I think I’d definitely prefer it over the Tesla.
Looks & features
The 2024 Lucid Air Touring features a highly aerodynamic exterior, the main highlight of which is a low-key front-end. I think the Infinite Black Metallic color seen on this car further emphasizes its sporty and understated look. The Stealth package replaces platinum polished and painted finishes on exterior surfaces and trim with dark ones to build on that. This car also includes the Glass Canopy roof option.
The combination of Stealth Package and Glass Canopy costs USD 7,500, and I think that’s quite expensive. As standalone options, these features cost USD 1,750 and USD 4,000, respectively.
On the inside
The customizations don’t end here, though. The sleek and high-tech interior of this 2024 Lucid Air Touring is draped in Nappa full-grain and premium natural-grain leather and Alcantara, which adds USD 3,000 to the MSRP. This option upgrades the 12-way power heated front seats to 14-way power heated front seats with ventilation as well.
Specifications
The 2024 Lucid Air Touring has an all-wheel drive drivetrain layout, achieved with two motors that produce 620 horsepower. A 0-60 mph sprint in this car takes just 3.4 seconds. A 92 kWh battery pack consisting of 18 cell modules supplies energy to the electric motors.
On a full charge, the 2024 Lucid Air Touring can travel up to 411 miles, as per EPA. However, since this particular car sports the 20-inch Aero Lite Stealth wheels instead of the 19-inch wheels of the regular car without the Stealth package, its EPA-estimated range is 382 miles. Those wheels are a compulsory upgrade if you check the Stealth package option, and they cost an extra USD 1,750. 21-inch Aero Sport Stealth wheels are available for an additional USD 3,500, and they further drop the EPA-estimated range to 365 miles.
