Update (April 17, 2024): Specifications updated, and additional opinion added on the color.
The 2024 Lucid Air is nearly a quarter of a million dollars if purchased in the top-end Sapphire trim. In the base trim, though, it’s even more affordable than the 2024 Tesla Model S. Recently, I got an opportunity to check out the 2024 Lucid Air Pure in the Stellar White Metallic color. Here are my first impressions of the base Lucid Air configuration:
Design & Features
The 2024 Lucid Air Pure has a low and wide stance and features a sleek exterior. I think the white paint suits its low-profile design, accentuating its body lines and curves. The pearlescent white may not be the easiest to maintain, but neutral colors have traditionally been easier to sell when it’s time for an upgrade. Americans also prefer metallic white due to its inherent elegance.
Lucid Motors doesn’t compromise on the looks just because Pure is the base trim, equipping it with the same Micro Lens Array (MLA) LED headlights and using the same elegant design for the bumpers and grille as the higher trims.
The 19-inch Aero Range wheels on the car I saw are standard, but the company does give customers the option to upgrade to 20-inch Aero Lite wheels for an additional USD 1,750. However, the glass canopy option isn’t available on this trim.
Inside, the 2024 Lucid Air Pure features the same minimalist interior as higher trims. Its dashboard has a 34-inch floating panel that clubs three displays, super-slim AC vents, buttons to adjust temperature and fan speed, a toggle to adjust speaker volume, and a retractable portrait touchscreen. The flat-bottomed steering wheel includes buttons and toggles for quick access to various functions.
The infotainment system of the 2024 Lucid Air Pure includes navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Alexa voice assistant. 14-way power heated front seats with ventilation and a 9-speaker sound system are standard in the 2024 Lucid Air Pure. 20-way power heated front seats with ventilation and massage functions are available for an additional USD 3,750.
Lucid Motors uses black-colored Mojave PurLuxe Leather Alternative upholstery in the 2024 Air Pure. This Stellar White Metallic sample has the same interior. For an additional USD 3,000, customers can opt for beige-colored Santa Cruz Leather upholstery. This option includes light brown wood trim and stitching as well.

Specifications
The 2024 Lucid Air Pure gets a 430-hp motor that powers its rear wheels, taking it from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. A 16-module battery pack with an energy storage capacity of 88 kWh should be supplying energy to this motor. It delivers an EPA-estimated range of 410 miles (19-inch wheels),
