The first of the many trims of the 2024 Blazer EV to arrive at Chevrolet dealerships in the U.S. is RS. Recently, I saw a Galaxy Gray Metallic unit of the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS on display, and I took that opportunity to explore its design, interior, and features in detail.
Exterior
While it may not be evident in pictures, I can say, after seeing the Galaxy Gray Metallic, that it is a gray paint color enhanced with metallic flakes that lend it a shimmering effect. The flake adds depth and dimension to the surfaces, making the Blazer EV more visually interesting than a plain gray.
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS has a high-tech and dynamic exterior with a great emphasis on aerodynamics and style. Its illuminated brand logo (front), extended daytime running lights, and tail lights generate animated lighting sequences when the driver walks up to or away from it and when it is charging.
The faux grille, front and rear lower fascias, mirror caps, upper door moldings and wheel moldings, and roof rails carry a gloss black finish for sporty styling. The 21-inch dual-tone wheels with black-painted pockets are key to this street-inspired design.
Interior
The performance-focused theme reappears in the interior of the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS, with features like front bucket seats, turbine-inspired round AC vents featuring red highlights, gloss black inserts in the steering wheel and center console, and red stitching and piping in the upholstery. The steering wheel features a red-colored RS logo as well.
The driver’s seat includes 8-way power adjustment, 2-way power lumbar support, and memory, heating, and ventilation functions. The front passenger seat comes with 6-way power adjustment, 2-way power lumbar support, and heating and ventilation functions. A dual-zone automatic climate control system, 11-inch digital instrument cluster, 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charger, and a 6-speaker audio system are also part of the standard equipment.
I like the fact that the infotainment system includes native apps for two services customers frequently use while driving: Google Maps and Google Assistant. Moreover, it features the Google Play app store, which offers more such apps like Spotify, Waze, YouTube Music, and TuneIn Radio to download and install for direct use without requiring a smartphone. That said, I do find it inconvenient that there’s no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto support here.
Specifications
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS is available in RWD and AWD variants. The RWD variant packs 340 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque. It uses a 102 kWh battery pack that supports charging at up to 11.5 kW (AC)/190 kW (DC) and delivers an EPA-estimated range of 324 miles.
This particular 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS is in the AWD variant, with 288 horsepower 333 lb.-ft. of torque. Instead of the 102 kWh battery pack, it has an 85 kWh battery pack that has a maximum charging input of 11.5 kW (AC)/150 kW (DC). As a result, its EPA-estimated range is much lower – 279 miles. The AWD variant consumes 35 kWh of energy per 100 miles, as per EPA.

Price
The Chevrolet Blazer EV RS AWD is priced at $54,595, whereas the single-motor Blazer EV RS RWD is priced at $56,170. Prices exclude a destination freight charge of $1,395.
