2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid N Line displayed in Titan Gray color

The Hyundai Tucson N Line, previously only available with a gas engine, has become a hybrid-only offering with the 2024 model year update. Recently, I saw a Titan Gray 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid N Line on display and explored its design, comfort, interior, and features in detail.

Design

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid N Line offers a sportier exterior with features like dark headlight bezel, an N Line badge on the grille and front fenders, dark chrome accent grille, 19-inch exclusive wheels, black roof trim, distinctive roof spoiler, twin-tip exhaust, and a sportier rear bumper.

Interior

Entering the cabin, I was immediately made aware of the sporty credentials of this car. What stood out to me were the grey paddle shifters, the N badge, the aluminum pedals, and the red stitching on the steering wheel. I also couldn’t miss the N badge on the center console, positioned below the ‘D’ Button.

More red top stitching on the seats and central armrest and the red striping on the dashboard made the differentiation evident that this was the fun variant. The seats, however, except for the slightly coarser fabric (Hyundai calls it ‘Sport combination’ seat), didn’t feel different.

Panoramic sunroof, hands-free smart liftgate with adjustable height setting, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation, and Bose Premium Audio System with 8 speakers, are the equipment highlights of the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid N Line.

Safety

On the safety front, the hybrid SUV packs features like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian, Cyclist, and Junction Turning Detection (FCA-JT), Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA).

Specifications

Under the hood, the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid N Line has the same 1.6-liter turbocharged gas engine, assisted by a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The latter gets its juice from a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. In total, the driver has 226 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque at their disposal. The hybrid powertrain gives the compact SUV an EPA-est. fuel economy of 37 MPG (city)/36 MPG (highway)/37 MPG (combined). Note that there is no performance gain in the N Line variant.
