The Honda Prologue is one of the anticipated SUVs from a mainstream brand in the U.S. At the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, Honda displayed the 2024 Prologue in its hero color – North Shore Pearl, one of the seven paint options it has confirmed for the electric vehicle. Of the three available trims, namely EX, Touring, and Elite, the North Shore Pearl-painted 2024 Prologue was in the top-end (Elite) configuration.
Inspired by the colors and natural beauty near Lake Tahoe (California), the new North Shore Pearl color adds distinctiveness to the 2024 Honda Prologue. The new shade, seen in our exclusive photos in this article, pairs well with the eco-friendly nature of the 2024 Prologue’s powertrain.
While this shade is appealing, my personal preference is the Raven Black, which I find makes the Prologue look stunning. The black works well with its wide headlamps, rear combination lamps, its solid stance, and the 21-inch wheels.
The interior of the 2024 Honda Prologue is modern yet simple and functional, prioritizing space and practicality as much as aesthetics. An 11-inch HD driver information display and an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system are standard across the line-up, while a 7×3-inch HUD is optional. The infotainment system includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and built-in Google Play, Google Maps, and Google Play apps.
On the safety front, the Honda Sensing safety suite and eight airbags are standard on the 2024 Prologue. This is the first Honda to feature Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Blind zone Steering Assist, and Rear Pedestrian Alert.
Honda plans to launch the 2024 Prologue in single-motor 2WD and dual-motor AWD variants, both with an 85 kWh battery pack. The specifications of the former haven’t been announced, while the latter’s produces 288 hp and 333 lb.-ft. of torque. Honda expects the 2024 Prologue to deliver a range of 300 miles, which I believe will be achievable in the single-motor 2WD variant.
The 2024 Honda Prologue’s prices will start in the upper USD 40,000s. The Chevrolet Blazer EV rival will start arriving at U.S. dealerships in early 2024, and this is definitely a model we’ll be closely watching next year.
