The new Toyota Land Cruiser entered its second model year in the U.S. in fall last year with minimal updates. Imported from Japan and offered only with Toyota’s i-Force Max hybrid powertrain, the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser lineup sees a few refinements for buyers seeking a blend of off-road heritage and modern features.

For MY2025, Toyota has dropped the limited-run First Edition grade, which featured round headlamps and came fully loaded with unique design cues. Only 5,000 units were produced for MY2024, and with its exit, the Land Cruiser is now available in just two trims: the base 1958 and the fully-equipped Land Cruiser.
Visually, the SUV sees changes to the color options for MY2025. Heritage Blue, previously limited to a dual-tone combo with a Grayscape roof, is now offered as a monotone paint choice, giving customers more flexibility in customization.

The 1958 trim includes integrated liftgate lights for model year 2025, addressing a common complaint about poor nighttime visibility in the cargo area. This small addition improves everyday usability.
Equipment remains unchanged. The SUV comes with an 8-inch touchscreen as standard, while a 12.3-inch display is available on the higher trim. Toyota’s Audio Multimedia system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An optional JBL 14-speaker sound system and a Qi wireless charger are also part of the kit.

USB-C ports are spread across all three rows, and a 2400-watt AC inverter (120V) adds versatility for powering devices and tools. A fully-digital 12.3-inch gauge cluster with four display modes is also on offer.
Under the hood, the Land Cruiser retains its 2.4-liter turbocharged hybrid engine producing 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with a full-time four-wheel drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission, it manages a manufacturer-estimated 23 MPG combined.

Pricing is different for the 2025 model year. The 1958 trim now starts at $56,700, a $750 increase over MY2024. Interestingly, the top Land Cruiser trim sees a slight price reduction, now starting at $61,470, down $480.
