The Porsche Panamera stands out in the full-size segment, blending genuine sports car performance with rear seat practicality. Porsche’s extensive customization options allow clients to configure it with a special appearance. Recently, I got to view a global-spec Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid in the stunning Madeira Gold Metallic color, a shade that reaffirmed how special this four-door sports car can look.

Madeira Gold Metallic is a significant part of the palette as Porsche introduced it as the hero color of the third-generation Panamera. The company offers it as one of the ‘Dreams’ color options, for an additional USD 1,490. It is a rather dark shade of gold, devoid of the typical shimmery effect and reminiscent of fall.
Porsche offers vibrant colors for the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, such as Arenaredmetallic, Frozen Blue, Vipergreen, and Lavaorange, and compared to those, it is quite understated and strikes a balance between elegance and individuality.
Seeing the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid close-up in Madeira Gold Metallic, I felt this cognac-hued color would appeal to clients who prefer a restrained look but desire something different from the typical shades on mainstream cars.

Another tasteful option I noticed on this Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid was the special wheels. It is hoisted on 21-inch Panamera Exclusive Design wheels, a USD 3,820-Exclusive Manufaktur option. These sporty wheels feature ten Y spokes and center caps with colored Porsche Crest. They come in a Platinum Silver color as standard, but these feature the Satin Dark Silver paint, which costs USD 1,300 extra.
Under the hood, the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid has a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which is assisted by a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The engine produces 300 hp and 309 lb.-ft. of torque and the electric motor develops 187 hp and 331 lb.-ft. of torque.
With 463 hp of system power and 479 lb.-ft. of combined torque, the plug-in hybrid car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 174 mph. An 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a permanent all-wheel drive system work together to direct drive to the wheels.

The electric motor is integrated into the transmission and feeds off a 21.8 kWh (net) battery pack that supports only AC charging, at up to 11 kW. Customers can fully charge it as quickly as two hours and 39 minutes. In EV mode, it can achieve a top speed of 87 mph and deliver a WLTP range of up to 60 miles. EPA figures are yet to be disclosed.
The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid retails at USD 119,800 (excl. USD 2,250 DPH fee) before options.
