Recently, I checked out a 2024 Lexus TX 500h F Sport Performance (hybrid) in the Nightfall Mica color. Here are my observations.
Nightfall Mica is a dark blue hue enriched with metallic flakes that create a subtle sparkle and add depth to the color. In low light settings, as captured in our exclusive photos, the blue appeared to me as having hints of black and purple. Paired with grey and black body fitments, this color significantly enhances the luxurious and sophisticated look of the TX. The shimmer, caused by the metallic flakes in the paint, ensures the car stands out, without feeling vulgar.
I’ve noticed that the 2024 Lexus TX 500h F Sport Performance has a slightly different styling from gas and plug-in hybrid variants. It features L-shaped gloss black garnish in the lower corners of the front bumper, gloss black mirrors, dark chrome window trim surround, black roof rails, and a diffuser-style rear bumper.
My favorite exterior feature of the 2024 Lexus TX 500h F Sport Performance is the 22-inch split-five-spoke wheels, painted in a combination of dark gray and black. The blue paint suits the street performance-oriented character of the hybrid three-row SUV. Auto-leveling bi-LED headlamps, headlamp washers, LED fog lamps, and kick-activated power liftgate are also among the main standard features of the 2024 TX 500h F Sport Performance. A panoramic glass roof is available.
The 2024 Lexus TX 500h F Sport Performance reinforces sportiness with aluminum pedals and scuff plates, F Sport-branded front seats with enhanced bolsters, and F Sport-branded steering wheel. Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, memory function for the driver’s seat and steering wheel, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system are standard. 8-way power-adjustable front seats with power lumbar adjustment, a 21-speaker sound system, head-up display, digital IRVM, heated steering wheel, etc. are available.
The 2024 Lexus TX 500h F Sport Performance uses a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine and two motors, one on each axle. The engine and front motor power the front wheels, while the rear motor powers the rear wheels, which take advantage of a rear-wheel steering system as well. The hybrid system produces 366 hp and 406 lb.-ft. of torque.
The 2024 TX 500h F Sport Performance takes 6.1 seconds for a 0-60 mph sprint and has a top speed of 112 mph. It delivers an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 MPG (city)/28 MPG (highway)/27 MPG (combined).
