2026 Honda Prelude seen with official interior & exterior accessories

The 2026 Honda Prelude has just been introduced in the U.S. It pairs the Civic’s hybrid powertrain with Civic Type R hardware, and enters a market where the segment for two-door vehicles has almost vaporized.

We recently had the chance to check one out in the flesh in the Boost Blue Pearl body color loaded with a variety of optional extras, and here’s what we observed.

Design

The 2026 Prelude features sports coupe lines with a low nose, wide stance, and soft silhouette. At the front, this Prelude includes an optional USD 350 underbody gloss-black spoiler that extends outward ahead of the front wheels, creating a wide-body effect. The H-logo emblems are finished in gloss black at both the front and rear.

Moving to the sides, the Prelude features clean, sporty lines with flush door handles, a double-bubble roof, and flared fenders. This car rides on optional 19-inch gloss-black machined-finish alloy wheels, which cost USD 3,232 over the stock Berlina Black wheels.

The door mirror covers have been upgraded to a black finish instead of the standard body color for an additional USD 80, though they are standard on the dual-tone option. Protecting the panel behind the door from chips and scratches is a rear fender protection film, which costs USD 75.

At the rear, the car features a full-width taillight, which aligns with the connected headlamp design and gives the car a low-squatted look. To enhance the sporty appearance, this car also includes a gloss-black tailgate spoiler priced at USD 500. The Boost Blue Pearl body color is a USD 455 option.

Interior

Protecting the original carpet are the optional all-season floor mats with extended sidewalls, which feature a molded “Prelude” logo, and cost USD 200.

The model includes an interior illumination kit that lights up the cupholder and armrest storage for an additional USD 200, as well as illuminated door sill trim costing USD 330. A logo-pattern projector beneath the doors helps prevent stepping on obstacles, and costs USD 200.

Lastly, it gets a Cargo Tray, which is a molded plastic tray that protects the cargo area, costing USD 135.

The Prelude’s cabin is designed around driver focus, with a low cowl and thin A-pillars. A 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster presents a tachometer and multiple information layouts, while a 9-inch HD touchscreen supports Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability, paired with an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

Leather-trimmed front sport seats include integrated head restraints and three-way heating. Interior color options include Blue and White or Black, each lavished with high-contrast blue stitching. A thick-rimmed flat-bottom steering wheel includes alloy paddles and blue stitching.

Specifications

The Prelude’s hybrid system is borrowed from the 2026 Civic. It pairs a 2.0-liter gasoline engine rated at 141 horsepower and 134 lb-ft of torque with an electric motor rated at 181 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque, producing an identical system output of 200 horsepower. Efficiency is rated at 46 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway.
