The 2025 Honda Prologue was announced for the U.S. last month. Honda claims that its midsize SUV was America’s best-selling electric vehicle, behind Teslas, in the last quarter of 2024, and we had pointed out five reasons for its rising popularity. While there are no exterior changes, it has upgraded the Prologue’s powertrain capabilities for MY2025.
We recently got to check out the Elite AWD variant in the Sonic Grey Pearl color, and here’s what we found:
Range

The 2025 Prologue has a better driving range, increasing its EPA-rated range by 12 miles to 308 miles for the single-motor, two-wheel-drive variants, getting more competitive in its segment. For comparison, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E RWD offers 320 miles, the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 RWD offers up to 318 miles, and the 2025 Kia EV6 RWD travels up to 319 miles.
The AWD models, specifically the EX and Touring trims, also see their EPA range rating increase by 13 miles to 294 miles, while the range for the premium Elite AWD trim goes up by 10 miles to 283 miles. For comparison, the 2025 Model Y AWD gets 327 miles, the 2025 Mustang Mach-E AWD offers up to 300 miles, the 2025 Ioniq 5 AWD gets up to 290 miles, and the 2025 EV6 AWD manages up to 295 miles.
Performance

Performance upgrades accompany these improvements, with the single-motor model now delivering 220 horsepower, an increase of 8 horsepower, and 243 lb.-ft. of torque, up by 7 lb.-ft. For those opting for all-wheel drive (AWD), the U.S.-spec 2025 Prologue offers better numbers, now delivering 300 horsepower and a robust 355 lb.-ft. of torque.
Charging
Charging remains unchanged: 150 kW DC fast-charging enables a 20–80% SoC in 35 minutes. Home charging is through an 11.5 kW charger, adding 34.1 miles per hour. All Prologue variants draw supply from an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Honda also introduces flexible charging solutions for Prologue owners, offering three comprehensive packages included with vehicle purchase or lease. These include home charging equipment, installation credits, and public charging credits through partnerships with EVgo and Electrify America.
Features & Pricing

There are no new features for 2025, and the crossover comes standard with 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, 11-inch gauge cluster, wireless charging, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. It is priced starting at USD 47,400 for the single-motor variant, and tops out at USD 57,900 for the dual-motor variant. All prices are MSRP excluding tax, license, registration, and destination fee.
