Update (April 15, 2024): Specs and pricing updated; more personal remarks on the Vapor Blue Metallic color included.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E, featuring several model year revisions, has just started rolling into U.S. dealerships. I recently saw a Vapor Blue Metallic unit in the Premium RWD configuration on display, and had the chance to explore the vehicle in detail. Here’s what I think about the MY2024 Mach-E in this particular shade:
Design & Features
The Vapor Blue Metallic paint contains tiny metallic flakes, influencing its appearance under different lighting conditions. Under indoor lighting, the Mach-E color in this paint finish appeared to be a light powder blue with an inkling of gray. Walking up to the car, I did feel like it embodied an understated elegance, with the features like the lights, grille and wheel arches emerging nicely from the body work.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E has the same athletic design first introduced in November 2019. Thanks to the sleek headlamps, the long, powerful hood, the muscular haunches, and the tri-bar tail lamps, I think it still looks quite attractive. In the Premium trim, Ford equips the 2024 Mustang Mach-E with LED projector headlamps with LED signature lighting, a frunk, 19-inch alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps with sequential turn signals.

Interior
Inside, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E has a sleek dashboard with slim AC vents and two free-standing cockpit displays. I’ve noticed that Ford has kept physical controls to the bare minimum to give the interior a minimalist look, but the company has equipped the EV with the most essential buttons, switches, dials, and stalks. A 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system give the cabin a high-tech look, but I think the steering wheel and center console could’ve looked better.
In addition to the aforementioned displays, the Premium trim includes a 10-way power driver’s seat with heating and memory functions, an 8-way power front passenger seat with a heating function, ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charger, and a 10-speaker B&O sound system. The steering wheel also features a heating function, and the steering column can be manually adjusted.
Specifications
The 2024 Mustang Mach-E Premium RWD is powered by a single motor and a 72 kWh (net) lithium iron phosphate battery pack, spinning the rear wheels. The motor produces 264 hp and 387 lb.-ft. of torque and allows the EV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. The 72 kWh battery pack is chargeable at up to 150 kW, and when it’s fully charged, it can deliver an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles. Users can achieve 10-80% SoC in 32.3 min, which is 5.7 minutes quicker than the earlier version.
