The 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X is powered by a combination of V8 engine and electric front-axle assistance, making it the most powerful Corvette production model in history.
While the ZR1 is the ultimate internal-combustion track weapon, the ZR1X serves as the flagship “hypercar” that introduces electrification for maximum acceleration and all-wheel-drive capability.
Recently, we got to spend some time around the ZR1X convertible model in the Arctic White color, and here’s everything that we observed.
Design

The 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X is available in both coupe and convertible form. At the front, like the ZR1, the hood of the ZR1X features center vents that route air from the intakes and create downforce.
The exterior integrates aerodynamic components designed for high-speed stability, including dive planes, underbody strakes, a hood gurney lip, and an available rear wing as part of the Carbon Aero package.
Moving to the sides, the ZR1X comes standard with 16.5-inch carbon-ceramic rotors and 10-piston front calipers, which are also available on the ZR1 as part of the ZTK Performance Package. Just ahead of the rear wheels, the ZR1X badge differentiates it from the RWD model.
For the convertible, the ZR1X 3LZ also receives an exclusive Blade Silver Matte finish, which debuted with the Quail Silver Limited Edition and includes orange-painted brake calipers and black exhaust tips.
Interior

The ZR1X uses the updated 2026 Corvette cabin layout with a three-screen arrangement that displays driving, performance, and vehicle information.
The redesigned console improves access to controls during high-load driving and uses new interfaces to manage the hybrid powertrain through the displays, replacing the “button wall” of previous model years.
For the Quail Silver Limited Edition, a numbered “Limited Edition” plaque is included, along with an exclusive Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray interior with Habanero accents and orange seat belts.
Specifications

Powering the ZR1X is the LT7 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8, which produces 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm, and it is paired with an electric motor that delivers 186 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque to the front axle.
The motor provides assistance up to 160 mph, helping the car achieve a 0–60 mph time of under 2 seconds and a quarter-mile time of under 9 seconds, according to GM estimates. The AWD system combines front-motor propulsion and rear V8 power without a mechanical connection between the axles.
