Showing its true commitment to EVs, Cadillac is set to launch electric high-performance cars, beginning with the Lyriq-V. The first electric V-Series model is coming to U.S. dealers as a MY2026 vehicle in early 2025. The company has confirmed availability in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand as well.
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V doesn’t have a massive hood scoop or quad exhaust tips typical of gas-powered V-Series models. While the differences from the standard model are fewer, the low-key styling serves as a reminder that electric cars are inherently capable of high performance.
Here are seven features that distinguish the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V from the standard Lyriq:
Unique grille
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V’s black crystal front grille in the upper fascia is no different from the Lyriq (Sport), but its functional grille in the lower part is unique. It features a mesh pattern for a sportier look.
Carbon fiber splitter
A carbon fiber splitter, which divides the lower grille into two horizontally, also contributes toward the more street performance-focused styling of the 2026 Lyriq-V.
Lowered suspension
A lowered suspension gives the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V a sportier stance and should lead to improved handling.
Exclusive wheels
The 2026 Lyriq-V sports exclusive multi-spoke wheels wrapped in Continental PremiumContact 6 premium summer tires that provide more grip and improves confidence in the driver to push the EV around the corners.
Brembo brakes
High-performance brakes sourced from specialist Brembo give the 2026 Lyriq-V extra bite, helping it slow down or stop safely from high speeds.
V-Series badging
V-Series badges are visible throughout the 2026 Lyriq-V, featured on the front wing, wheels, brake calipers, rear doors, and tailgate. Inside, the V-badge appears on the steering wheel, and we expect to see an embossed logo on the front seats.
V-Mode
A V-Mode extracts maximum performance from the 2026 Lyriq-V’s powertrain, which we expect to produce around 600 hp and approximately 650 lb.-ft. of torque and give the EV a 0-60 mph acceleration time of somewhere between 3 and 3.3 seconds. Drivers can enable it through a red-colored dedicated button located beside the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) button on the steering wheel.
