Here at the Paris Motor Show 2024, I got to experience the Cadillac Lyriq which was introduced in Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, and France earlier this year, marking the brand’s European re-entry.

The Cadillac Lyriq was launched earlier this year at a starting price of €81,200 in France. This price applies to both the Luxury and Sport models, which come with a range of high-end features, all of which are familiar from the U.S.-spec vehicle. I didn’t find any special features in the Lyriq for the EU market.
Familiar features from the U.S.-spec model include Nappa leather seats, 21-inch alloy wheels, and a panoramic glass roof with a power shade. The front seats are heated, ventilated and also include a massage function. Cadillac says that it will introduce the Super Cruise hands-free driving technology when it gets the necessary approvals in Europe.

Inside, Cadillac has designed the interior with wood and metal décor, featuring laser-etched details. A 33-inch curved LED display serves as the centerpiece, integrating driving controls and infotainment. The Lyriq prioritizes comfort with its advanced active noise cancellation system, with the 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system, exclusive to Cadillac, being its party piece.

The Lyriq uses the familiar 102 kWh battery pack and two motors that produce 528 horsepower. This setup provides an estimated range of 530 km (329 miles) on a full charge as per WLTP. It also features an Energy Recovery system that captures and stores waste heat from and inside the vehicle, which can then be used to heat the cabin during winter, or precondition the battery for charging.
