  • Delivers an EPA range of up to 313 miles

Update (April 3, 2024): Specs updated to reflect the latest information.

Acura has showcased the 2024 ZDX primarily in the all-new Double Apex Blue Pearl and Tiger Eye Pearl colors. Recently, the company displayed a gray 2024 ZDX (the color is marketed as Mercury Silver Metallic), specifically in the A-Spec grade, which I anticipate will be the most popular variant in the lineup.

The reason I say that is because Gray is the third-most-popular color for cars in the U.S., seen on 19.2% of the vehicles sold in 2023, as per a study iSeeCars released on October 3, 2023. In my opinion, the grayscale shade suits the ZDX’s low-profile, futuristic character better than blue or gold.

The gray paint lets the 2024 ZDX’s intricate details, like the Jewel Eye LED headlights and the embossed diamond pattern in the Diamond Pentagon surface in the nose section, come into focus. The light gray color on the rocker panels and lower corners of the front and rear bumpers adds distinctive styling. However, I’m not equally enthusiastic about the contrasting gloss black accents on various other parts of the body.

The 2024 Acura ZDX A-Spec AWD has an all-black interior with features like an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play apps and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. On the safety front, the AcuraWatch suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including Blind Zone Steering Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Braking, is standard.

The 2024 Acura ZDX A-Spec will be available in a range-focused single-motor RWD variant and a dual-motor AWD variant that offers better performance and more capability. A 102 kWh battery pack is standard in the 2024 ZDX A-Spec, and it delivers an EPA range of 313 miles in the RWD variant, and 304 miles in the AWD variant.

While final specs are awaited, Acura says that the A-Spec ZDX single-motor variant develops 358 hp/324 lb-ft., and the dual-motor variant generates 490 hp/437 lb-ft. It’s possible to charge the battery pack at up to 190 kW, and the company estimates that charging it for just about 10 minutes can add 81 miles of range in the RWD variant.

The 2024 Acura ADX A-Spec retails at USD 64,500 in the single-motor RWD variant and USD 68,500 in the dual-motor AWD variant. These MSRPs exclude the destination charge, which Acura hasn’t yet revealed. The company says it will start delivering the 2024 ZDX at the beginning of spring.
