First Look Review: Skoda Epiq concept already feels like a future best-seller

Skoda has lined up two all-electric models for 2026, and perhaps the most significant launch for the company in recent times is the Skoda Epiq, which will become its entry-level electric car when it goes on sale later this year.

We got to spend some time with the Skoda Epiq concept version, which is a realistic representation of the actual vehicle, and here’s what we expect from the dealer-bound small SUV.

Size & Price

The Epiq measures 4.1 m (13.5 ft) long and seats five, with a 475-liter (16.8 cu ft) cargo area. The company also targets a driving range of up to 425 km (264 miles).

For pricing, Skoda positions the future production version to start around where the gas-powered Kamiq starts in many markets. For reference, the Kamiq begins in the UK at GBP 25,520 (USD 34,445).

Design

The Epiq is the first model to fully apply Skoda’s “Modern Solid” design language inside and out. The concept dons a Cashmere matte paint finish and uses a glossy black “Tech-Deck Face” at the front. T-shaped LED daytime running lights and turn indicators frame the front graphic.

The main headlamps sit lower, and the front bumper takes on a more upright look, with a spoiler element finished in Cosmo gray. Along the sides, a new “tornado line” visually separates upper and lower body sections.

Interior

Skoda follows a “Mobile First” approach in the Epiq with a minimalist dash, wireless phone charging, and storage spread throughout the cabin.

The concept includes bag hooks, fasteners, and hidden underfloor compartments to carry everyday items. Controls mix physical buttons with haptic scroll wheels, aiming to keep key functions accessible without relying entirely on the screen.

Production

We will reveal the Skoda Epiq, our electric urban SUV, and after that, we’ll reveal a brand-new 7-seater for families and everyday explorers.
