As part of a series of London-themed special-edition models, JLR has introduced a Range Rover Velar inspired by Belgravia, one of the city’s most affluent districts, for the local market. Unlike in the U.S., the company offers the Velar with a plug-in hybrid system as an option in the UK.
At the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, we got the opportunity to check out the Range Rover Velar Plug-in Hybrid Belgravia Edition in person.
Here are some interesting observations we made about the special-edition, which is unlikely to be offered here in the U.S.
Design
The Range Rover Velar Belgravia Edition has only subtle exterior changes, building on the model’s clean, reductive design. The front end is entirely the same, featuring slender headlamps, a clamshell hood, and claw-like air intakes in the lower corners.
On the sides, a white Belgravia Edition inscription on the black trim extending across the lower body provides the first clear indication of the Velar’s special-edition status. The puddle lights integrated into the side mirrors also project the same script.
While this particular example features 20-inch wheels, JLR also offers 21-inch wheel options in the UK. In the U.S., where a plug-in hybrid system is not available, the wheel selection includes 22-inch options as well.
The rear looks no different from that of the regular Range Rover Velar, featuring a raked windshield, slim combination lamps that extend onto the sides, a full-width gloss-black tailgate garnish with the Range Rover inscription, and concealed tailpipes.
Interior
Inside, illuminated door treadplates featuring a Belgravia Edition inscription welcome the occupants. The same lettering is also printed on the center console, which, along with the door panels, features black brushed aluminum trim.
The rest of the Range Rover Velar Belgravia Edition’s interior mirrors that of the standard model. The dashboard and center console both carry a minimalist design, in line with the reductive exterior. A floating 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen serves as the control center for the Pivi Pro infotainment system.
A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, customizable ambient lighting, heated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charger are part of the standard equipment.
A cooling function for the front seats, heated rear seats, and a 750-watt Meridian sound system with 16 speakers and a dual-channel subwoofer are available as options.
Specifications
The Range Rover Velar Belgravia Edition’s plug-in hybrid variant, called P400e, is only available in an AWD layout. It combines a 296 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged gas engine with a 141 hp electric motor.
With 398 hp of system power and 474 lb-ft of system torque, the plug-in hybrid SUV accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and achieves a top speed of 130 mph. A 15.39 kWh (net) battery pack located under the cargo floor delivers an electric range of 38.5 miles, as per WLTP.
The battery pack supports charging via both AC and DC chargers. Fully charging it via a 7 kW AC charger takes 2.5 hours. Via a 50 kW DC charger, it can be charged from 0% to 80% SoC in as little as 30 minutes.
The Range Rover Velar Belgravia Edition offers 17.8 cu. ft. of cargo space in the plug-in hybrid variant. This capacity can be expanded to 47.1 cu. ft. by folding the rear seats.
Price
In the UK, the Range Rover Velar Belgravia Edition plug-in hybrid costs GBP 66,675 (approximately USD 89,100).
Range Rover has just revealed the GT as the fifth member of its lineup, and with the sloping-roof model positioned as an EV, the Velar appears likely to retain its place in the family for the foreseeable future.
In the U.S., JLR offers the Range Rover Velar Belgravia Edition only in gas and mild-hybrid variants, priced at USD 63,800 and USD 70,800, respectively, both excluding a USD 1,475 delivery charge.
