First Look: The insane 2027 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT Manthey Kit

The recently launched 2027 Porsche Taycan in the U.S. comes with a series of upgrades, including a new E-Shift system with virtual gear changes and an available Manthey Kit specific to the Turbo GT variant configured with the Weissach Package.

We had a chance to get a close look at the 2027 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Here are the observations we made in the ultimate Taycan spec:

Design

The 2027 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package itself is a heavily track-focused car. The optional Manthey Kit brings numerous additional enhancements.

The Manthey Kit brings a newly developed front diffuser with low- and high-downforce adjustment, lateral flaps, and an exposed carbon-fiber front spoiler lip. Wheel-arch vents, side blades and side skirts in visible carbon-fiber, and carbon-fiber aerodiscs on the rear wheels improve aerodynamics along the sides.

The Manthey Kit also includes specially designed 21-inch forged aluminum wheels, which are a tad wider. These wheels offer a 5.7-lb weight reduction, and their titanium bolts reduce the unsprung mass by a further 1.7 lbs.

A one-piece carbon-fiber rear diffuser with extended fins and a manually adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing with enlarged endplates complete the look. However, the upgrades are not limited to the visible components, as the package also includes enlarged air deflectors on the underbody.

Interior

The interior of the 2027 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit receives only minor changes. Manthey-branded carbon-fiber door sill plates with backlighting and carbon-fiber rear door sill plates are the only upgrades here.

The Weissach Package means the car does away with the rear seats, leaving the decent-sized trunk as the car’s only real practical advantage over a proper two-door Porsche. Another interior change is a custom-made carbon-fiber panel incorporating a storage compartment behind the front seats.

Specifications

The 2027 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit sports a familiar dual-motor AWD setup, but with a different tuning. Normally, the two motors of the Turbo GT, be it with or without the Weissach Package, produce 777 hp and 914 lb-ft (with launch control) of torque.

An Attack mode can bump the power output to 938 hp for ten seconds. Engaging an overboost function and launch control can further increase the power temporarily to 1,019 hp.

The Manthey Kit raises the 95 kWh battery pack’s maximum discharge current from 1,100 to 1,300 amperes. The system power increases to 804 hp (+27 hp) as standard and to 978 hp (+40 hp) in Attack mode. The system torque with launch control goes up by 22 lb-ft, reaching 936 lb-ft.

Normally, the Turbo GT variant can achieve a top speed of 180 mph (w/o Weissach Package)/190 mph (w/ Weissach Package). The Manthey Kit increases this figure to 193 mph. Larger, 440 mm (+20 mm) front discs provide greater stopping power.

The Manthey Kit changes the tuning of the chassis and several driving dynamics systems, such as the spring and damper control of Porsche Active Ride, the AWD system, the steering, and the rear-axle differential lock, for track use.

While the EPA has yet to release its estimated range for the 2027 Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package, we expect the figure to be the same as the MY2026 vehicle – 269 miles. Porsche has not said whether adding the Manthey Kit brings any difference in the driving range.
