The 2026 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid Woodland expands the sixth-generation RAV4 lineup with a rugged-focused plug-in hybrid configuration and standard Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive.
The variant targets buyers seeking rugged looks, and light off-road capability without compromising usable electric driving range.
We spent some time around the 2026 Toyota RAV4 PHEV Woodland in the Everest body color, and after experiencing the outgoing RAV4 Woodland, here’s what stood out.
Design

At the front, the 2026 Toyota RAV4 PHEV Woodland features a split hammerhead grille with a rugged-specific satin black finish and a skid-plate-style lower section. Integrated Rigid Industries LED fog lights are fitted into the front fascia, and a 2-inch tow hitch receiver with wiring harness is standard.
From the side, black angular cladding surrounds the wheel arches and extends along the lower doors. The Woodland also gets black rear hatch garnish, door handles with touch-sensor lock/unlock on the front doors.

The grade includes unique 18-inch matte metallic gray alloy wheels with black lug nuts wrapped in Dunlop GrandTrek All-Terrain tires. Raised black roof rails with integrated crossbars feature Woodland branding. Ground clearance measures 8.5 inches, the highest among RAV4 PHEV variants.
Going one step further, each grade now has its own distinct character. The front design is clearly differentiated. And the Adventure grade will have bigger wheels, overfenders, a multi-terrain monitor and much more.

At the rear, the design uses horizontally oriented LED taillamps that extend into the tailgate. A wide rear bumper integrates dark cladding and a silver-finished lower trim panel. The tailgate features a centered Toyota badge and Woodland-specific badging. A roof-mounted spoiler with an integrated brake light completes the rear profile.
Exterior badging further differentiates the Woodland grade and PHEV powertrain. Exterior color availability includes Urban Rock, exclusive to the Woodland grade, alongside other RAV4 color options.
Interior

Seating surfaces on the Woodland use either a mineral or black SofTex upholstery with red-orange accent stitching on the seats, center console lid, steering wheel, soft-touch door and dash panels. Woodland-branded all-weather floor mats and matching cargo mats are standard.

Driver information is handled by a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, while infotainment is handled by a 10.5-inch display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrated navigation, a single Qi-compatible wireless charger, and 5G connectivity are standard.

A leather-wrapped heated steering wheel is included. Five USB-C ports are standard, with two front charging ports, one center console media port, and two rear charging ports. The vehicle also incorporates a 120V 1500-watt AC power outlet.
Specifications

In addition to the highly-efficient hybrid powertrain, the popular plug-in hybrid has been taken up a level. With new high-capacity batteries, this is the world’s most efficient PHEV system.
