The 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid continues as the electrified three-row midsize SUV option. The model carries forward mechanically unchanged while adding an all-new X-Line SX-Prestige trim with feature revisions and equipment changes.
We spent some time with it in this all-new X-Line SX-Prestige trim with an AWD layout finished in Mineral Blue exterior and Gray leather interior to check if it manages to bring enough changes to motivate potential buyers.
Design

For 2026, Kia introduces a new X-Line SX-Prestige hybrid trim. X-Line-specific exterior elements include dark gunmetal lower front and rear bumper trim, a matching grille surround, and lower door garnishes.
Gloss black exterior details include the window surrounds, roof rails, and mirror caps. The X-Line badge replaces the previous HEV exterior badging.
The front of the 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid in X-Line SX-Prestige uses a tiger-nose grille layout with a dark finish on the frame specific to X-Line grades. LED projectors with quad lighting elements are standard across all trims, with daytime running lights forming a segmented pattern positioned within the upper lighting elements.

From the side, the Sorento Hybrid maintains a three-row SUV profile with a long wheelbase and short front and rear overhangs. The X-Line SX-Prestige trim features 19-inch alloy wheels with the same design as the EX trim but in black finish.
As part of the X-Line SX-Prestige package, a black fender and front door styling element is paired with black lower cladding along the doors and wheel arches, completing the dark finish look.
At the rear, the Sorento Hybrid features vertically oriented LED taillamps positioned at the outer edges of the tailgate with the new Kia rear LED signature. The rear bumper includes a black, skid-plate-style element and integrated reflectors. The tailgate carries the Sorento and hybrid badging, with a rear spoiler mounted above the window.
Interior

For 2026, all Sorento Hybrid trims receive a new steering wheel design with integrated hands-on-detection technology. Kia removes the Dust Blue interior color option from the hybrid lineup, with a new single-tone black leather-trimmed interior option joining the gray leather seat trim.
The cabin layout on this trim is designed with the familiar 12.3-inch screen for driver information paired with a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and USB-C ports available across the rows.

On the EX Hybrid, a second-row bench seat becomes standard, replacing the previous captain’s chairs configuration, with an available EX Premium Package adding second-row captain’s chairs, a Bose premium audio system, and a panoramic roof.
