The 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid carries over from the 2025 model, which got a facelift last year with a more streamlined trim lineup, and refreshed color palette, but loses out on the visually aggressive N-Line trim.
We spent some time with the 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited in the Shimmering Silver body color recently and here are our observations on what’s different.
Design

Color changes
For the 2026 model year, the Titan Gray and Titanium Gray Matte colors have been dropped from the range, merging them into a new Ecotronic Gray.
Since the Hyundai Tucson received its facelift last year, it still looks fresh with a relatively mature, yet aggressive look compared to the pre-facelift model. At the front, the 2026 Tucson carries over the same grille with strong vertical elements with daytime running lights integrated into it. The front bumper has a sharp and angular look with the intakes and sharp headlamp detailing.
The ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ theme continues at the sides with the sharp lines and Z-shaped creases. As before, the Blue SE trim wears smaller and narrower 17-inch wheels for high efficiency while SEL and SEL Convenience trims get 18-inch wheels, and Limited gets 19-inch wheels.
Interior

The interior continues with a panoramic curved display that integrates either a 4.2-inch LCD screen on the Blue SE and SEL trims or a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster on the SEL Convenience and Limited trims with a 12.3-inch infotainment display which is standard across all trims.
Connected Features
Factory navigation is no longer offered on Blue SE Hybrid or SEL Hybrid for 2026. The 12.3-inch navigation head unit was an option for the Hybrid in SEL and Blue, but it is standard only on the top-end Hybrid Limited for 2026.

Dynamic Voice Recognition and map or multimedia over-the-air updates follow the same pattern, now exclusive to the 2026 Hybrid Limited. These functions were optional in 2025 for Hybrid SEL and Blue and standard on Limited.
Digital Key 2 & Hyundai Pay
Hyundai Pay appears for the first time in 2026, which is available only in the Hybrid Limited variant. While Digital Key 2 is not a new feature, it is standard only on the Limited for 2026.
Specifications
Tire changes
Hybrid trims that use 18-inch wheels switch to a narrower 235/60R18 tire for 2026. The 2025 SEL and SEL Convenience Hybrid models used a wider 245/60R18 tire.

There are no changes to the powertrain of the 2026 Tucson Hybrid. It combines a 1.6-liter, 178-hp 4-cylinder turbo engine with 59 hp electric motors for a total system output of an estimated 231 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. The system uses a six-speed automatic transmission with HTRAC AWD standard on all hybrid variants. Towing capacity is rated at 2000 lbs across the range.
A 1.49-kWh lithium-ion battery pack is used to supplement power during low-speed driving and storinging charge generated by the engine and regenerative braking. Fuel efficiency (combined) is rated at 38 mpg for the Blue trim while all other trims are rated at 36 mpg as per EPA estimates.
