The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid TrailSport joins as a new variant in Honda’s best-selling CR-V lineup, tailored for light trail use with standard AWD featuring revised calibration, new wheels, all-terrain tires, and unique styling elements both inside and out.
We recently had a chance to experience it in person in the TrailSport-exclusive Ash Green Metallic paint finish, and here is what we think about it.
Design

The front of the CR-V TrailSport retains the well-received look of the sixth-generation CR-V but adds unique touches with a silver skid garnish and a red TrailSport badge to set it apart. Moving to the sides, the TrailSport receives black door handles and window surrounds, while riding on unique Shark Gray 18-inch wheels paired with Continental CrossContact ATR all-terrain tires.
At the rear, the TrailSport welcomes a silver rear lower bumper garnish as well as a piano-black rear spoiler. All hybrid CR-V trims continue to feature bolder styling elements than non-hybrid models, including revised front and rear designs and polished stainless steel exhaust tips.
Interior

Getting inside, the TrailSport cabin features black cloth material and includes embroidered TrailSport logos on the headrests, and molded TrailSport branding on the standard all-season rubber floor mats. Amber interior ambient lighting appears in the footwells, overhead console, door-handle pockets, door trays, and cupholders.
Speaking of key features, the TrailSport model receives a 10.2-inch all-digital instrument display, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a moonroof, an 8-speaker audio system, and a power tailgate as standard.
The 2026 CR-V adds more standard technology across the lineup, including a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a wireless phone charger.
Experience in the CR-V Hybrid TrailSport
Stepping into the 2026 CR-V Hybrid is easy even for a six-footer, as the doors open close to 90 degrees. The ergonomics feel well executed.
The interior follows Honda’s “Simplicity and something” design direction, and forward and rearward visibility is good. The slim dashboard and well-organized center console make the layout neater, and the touchscreen conveniently sits higher on the dash, presenting no trouble while reaching the display.

The 9-inch infotainment screen feels adequately sized, and the physical volume knob is practical in daily use. The gearshift lever on the center console reinforces familiarity, especially at a time when many manufacturers are adopting buttons or rotary selectors. The model avoids oversized touchscreens, passenger displays, and capacitive controls, and we found the cabin modern but intuitive.
For a six-footer, the front legroom and headroom are sufficient. Under-thigh support is more than adequate, and the leather steering wheel offered a nice grip. The center console includes a 9-liter storage bin large enough to fit an iPad. The front seats, marketed as Body Stabilizing Seats, will make a noticeable difference in comfort, particularly for long drives or uneven road conditions.
Entry into the second row is easy again thanks to the wide-opening rear doors. The rear seat area feels more relaxed because of the good legroom. The backrest offers eight recline levels up to 10.5 degrees, and a six-footer is able to sit comfortably behind a taller driver. A roof cut-out above the seating position helps with headroom.
