The 2026 Chevrolet Blazer SS EV enters its second model year as the performance-focused variant in the 2026 Blazer EV lineup. It also gets visual upgrades that clearly differentiate it from the regular variants.
Available only in an AWD layout, the SS sits above the LT and RS trims. We recently had a chance to check it out in the Habanero Orange paint, and here are our thoughts and the changes we observed in the new model year.
Design

For model year 2026, the Blazer EV SS gains the Polar White Tricoat color, and an optional Tech Bronze package which includes 22-inch bronze wheels and black accents.
Besides the aforementioned additions, there are no design or styling changes in the 2026 Chevrolet Blazer SS EV. At the front, full LED exterior lighting is standard across the lineup, but the black grille with multiple openings, silver-accented lip element highlight, the horizontal slats under the headlamps and the red SS badge are unique to the trim.

At the sides, the SS trim gets silver accents in the side skirts, with bronze-painted brake calipers on Brembo anti-lock brakes, which are standard and exclusive to the SS. Also standard are machined-face aluminum wheels with carbon flash–painted pockets in a 22-inch size, giving the SS the largest wheel setup in the lineup.
Moving to the rear, the SS features unique silver and gray inserts in the taillamps instead of the regular red on the other trims. At the bottom of the bumper, the side skirt highlights in silver continue from behind the wheel toward the center, leading to diffuser-style slats.
Interior

We didn’t notice any changes to the interior of the Blazer EV SS. It incorporates a sports car–inspired theme with black or Medium Ash Gray seats with Argon Orange accents, available in perforated suede or EvoTex material, with a flat-bottom steering wheel (shared with the RS) complementing the look.

A 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen sits at the center of the dashboard, paired with an 11-inch Driver Information Center in the instrument cluster. This setup is standard across all trims, but the SS gets an exclusive Bose premium 8-speaker audio system.
Ambient lighting is standard on the RS and SS trims. Heated and ventilated front seats are included on the SS, and rear-outboard heated seats are also standard.
Specifications

For 2026, the Blazer EV SS gets a standard dual-level charge cord. Super Cruise is now standard with a 3-year OnStar plan.
The 2026 Blazer EV SS is available only in an AWD layout with a 102-kWh battery that gives it an EPA-estimated range of 303 miles. Output is rated at 615 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque in Wide Open Watts mode, which can launch it from 0–60 mph in 3.4 seconds. GM has used high-performance brakes sourced from Brembo at the front for better-stopping power in the SS trim.
Surprisingly, a trailer hitch is available on the LT and RS but not on the SS, and by extension, additional accessories like a harness and sealed connector for trailer lights are also not available.
The Blazer EV supports 11.5-kW Level 2 AC charging and DC fast charging up to 190 kW, with GM estimating up to 78 miles of range added in approximately 10 minutes under optimal conditions.
