World’s first custom 2025 Toyota Camry (Hybrid) flaunts its swag in Los Angeles

The world’s first modified 2025 Toyota Camry, created by Toyota itself, was on display at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show. While Toyota hasn’t confirmed any plans to launch this particular version in the U.S., I believe it wouldn’t be too difficult to introduce to the market, should there be sufficient customer interest from show-goers and the general public.

Based on the 2025 Toyota Camry XSE

The modified 2025 Toyota Camry is based on the XSE trim of the regular model. Thus, it has a color-keyed lower grille with honeycomb structure openings, front-side canards, a black trunk lid spoiler, black trunk lid garnish, a rear lip spoiler, and an exposed dual-tip exhaust by default. Darkened headlamps, gloss black garnish on the sides of the front bumper, body-colored mirrors, and 19-inch gun metal alloy wheels, wrapped in Bridgestone Turanza EL440 235/40R19 all-season tires give the modified 2025 Camry XSE a unique styling.

The customized 2025 Camry is hoisted on custom gun-metal-finish alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Turanza EL440 235/40R19 all-season tires.

The standard 2025 Camry XSE sports gloss black mirrors and less sportier 19-inch black and smoke gray-finished alloy wheels, wrapped in the same tires. Another difference is that the modified version’s top isn’t entirely black and features the body color on the sides.

Black & Blue interior

While the 2025 Toyota Camry XSE has a red and black interior, the modified Toyota Camry XSE features black upholstery with sporty blue inserts. In my opinion, the less flashier color scheme looks better. The modified version has an all-wheel drive drivetrain layout, and it’s safe to assume that it packs the 232-horsepower 2.5-liter engine-based hybrid powertrain from the normal version.

The 2025 Toyota Camry XSE will start arriving at U.S. dealerships in the Spring of 2024. Toyota may offer some of the aforementioned features on the 2025 Camry XSE as dealer-level accessories right from launch or release them in a special edition grade a few months later. Toyota has not announced a TRD version in the launch line-up of the 2025 model, and could be planning sportier variant lines in the future, gauging public reaction to accessorized and special edition Camrys at public events.
