The 2025 Chicago Auto Show opens for the media on February 6, 2025, and going by the list of exhibitors and models, it looks to be a much bigger show than last year. While some automakers have confirmed their displays at McCormick Place, others have only hinted at their plans.
Here are 12 electrified models to watch for at this year’s show. Except for the Forester Hybrid, all have been officially confirmed by the organizer.
Cadillac Vistiq

The 2026 Cadillac Vistiq, a three-row all-electric SUV positioned above the XT6, will start at $77,395 (MSRP excluding destination fees) for the base Luxury trim. Equipped with a dual-motor AWD system producing 615 hp, a 102-kWh battery offering an estimated 300-mile range, and a high-tech interior with a 33-inch curved display, the Vistiq will begin production in early 2025.
Dodge Charger Daytona

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona, the all-electric, dual-motor muscle car, has just begun reaching dealers. Dodge is launching it first in the two-door form with high-performance R/T and Scat Pack models.
The Charger Daytona Scat Pack, delivering 670 hp and 627 lb.-ft. of torque, achieves 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and runs the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, while the R/T variant produces 496 hp and 404 lb.-ft. of torque; pricing starts at $59,595 for the R/T and $73,190 for the Scat Pack, excluding destination fees.
2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E

The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E brings over a dozen key updates, including three new exterior colors, fresh wheel designs, a Sport Appearance Package for the Premium trim (pictured above), and a long-requested front recovery hook. It now features a heat pump for improved cold-weather efficiency, ventilated front seats in higher trims, BlueCruise 1.5 with Automatic Lane Change, and an NACS fast-charging adapter.
Powertrain remains the same, developing up to 370 hp and 500 lb.-ft. of torque with the extended-range battery and eAWD, while range estimates reach 300 miles. It is now available to order, with prices starting at $36,495 (MSRP, excluding destination fees).
Hyundai Ioniq 9

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9, a three-row electric SUV, will be built at the Georgia Metaplant. Riding on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, it features an 800V architecture for ultra-fast charging, a 110.3 kWh battery offering up to 335 miles of range in the RWD Long Range trim, and AWD variants with up to 430 hp; production begins in early 2025, with U.S. deliveries set for the April-June 2025 period. We expect the Ioniq 9 to begin at around $60,000.
Jeep Wagoneer S

The Wagoneer S is Jeep’s first global all-electric SUV, delivering 600 hp, 617 lb.-ft. of torque, and a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds, with an estimated range of over 300 miles. Built on Stellantis’ STLA Large platform, it features dual electric drive modules for standard AWD, a 400V 100-kWh battery enabling a 20-80% charge in 23 minutes, and a tech-focused interior with 45 inches of screen space; priced from $71,995 (MSRP excluding destination fees), the Wagoneer S Launch Edition has just started arriving at dealerships.
2025 Kia EV6

The facelifted Kia EV6 comes with sharper styling, improved features, and increased battery capacity, now offering a standard 63 kWh battery and an available 84 kWh pack with up to 319 miles of range in RWD trims.
Performance upgrades include a more powerful EV6 GT with up to 641 hp, a new Virtual Gear Shift feature, and improved towing capacity, while tech enhancements bring Kia’s next-gen Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), over-the-air updates, Digital Key 2.0, and expanded ADAS features. Production will be held in Georgia, with sales confirmed to begin in the first half of 2025.
Lucid Gravity
The first units of the Lucid Gravity were delivered in December 2024 to friends, families, and employees of the company. It features a 926V powertrain with up to 450 miles of EPA-estimated range and next-level fast-charging capabilities, supporting peak speeds of 400 kW and adding 200 miles in under 12 minutes.
It has a native NACS charge port, offering access to Tesla Superchargers and other fast-charging networks, while its advanced cooling system, bi-directional charging, and high-efficiency design make it a high-tech long-range EV. Pricing starts at $79,900 for the Touring model in late 2025, with Grand Touring available now from $94,900 (MSRP excluding destination fees).
Ram 1500 Ramcharger

The 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger, set for U.S. orders in the first half of 2025, features a class-leading targeted range of up to 690 miles, combining a 92 kWh battery with a 130 kW onboard generator.
With 663 hp, 615 lb.-ft. of torque, and a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds, the range extender model offers best-in-class towing of up to 14,000 pounds and a maximum payload of 2,625 pounds, while also supporting bi-directional charging for vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-vehicle power transfer. Production of the hybrid truck will take place at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan.
Rivian R2

The Rivian R2 is a five-seat midsize SUV conceived for both everyday use and outdoor adventures. It features a powered rear glass that fully drops, fold-flat second-row seats, and a spacious interior with durable materials. R2 offers Single-Motor (RWD), Dual-Motor (AWD), and Tri-Motor setups, with the fastest version reaching 0-60 mph in under three seconds.
A 4695 structural battery provides over 300 miles of range, with fast charging from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes. Priced from $45,000, R2 production starts in the first half of 2026 at Rivian’s Illinois plant, with U.S. reservations now open for $100.
Rivian R3X

The Rivian R3 is a compact crossover designed for city and off-road use, while the R3X is a performance variant with enhanced capability. Both models share a flexible interior, high ground clearance, and a hatchback-style design. They offer Single-Motor (RWD), Dual-Motor (AWD), and Tri-Motor options, with the fastest version reaching 0-60 mph in under three seconds.
A 4695 structural battery delivers over 300 miles of range, with fast charging from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes. The R3X should be priced at around $40,000, with deliveries expected to begin in 2027.
Subaru Forester Hybrid
Subaru has confirmed two SUV world premieres at the 2025 Chicago Auto Show, and the Forester Hybrid is expected to be one of them. The 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid will use a new series-parallel hybrid system featuring a 2.5-liter flat-four engine paired with an 88 kW (118 hp) electric motor. This setup, similar to the Crosstrek Hybrid, is expected to improve low-speed acceleration and city driving efficiency. Fuel economy is estimated at around 35 MPG (combined), with a projected range nearing 600 miles.
The Forester Hybrid retains Subaru’s symmetrical AWD system with a mechanical link for better off-road capability. Styling differences from the gas model should be minimal, with only subtle exterior and interior changes. Prices are expected to fall between $35,000-40,000.
2025 Toyota 4Runner Hybrid

The first units of the all-new 2025 4Runner have just been delivered to customers in the U.S., and is still a rare commodity! So the electrified version of the off-road-focused SUV, which is coming to the Chicago Auto Show, is sure to turn heads!
The frame SUV features a 2.4-liter turbocharged gas engine paired with a 48-hp electric motor and an 8-speed automatic transmission, producing up to 326 hp and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. The hybrid SUV offers part-time and full-time 4WD, a locking rear differential, and off-road tech like Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control. With a towing capacity of up to 6,000 lbs, pricing starts at $51,990 (MSRP excluding handling).
